Welcome to my Digital Scrapbook for Winter 2014

I just recently updated my digital software to Panstoria Artisan and I use Club Scrap Digital Collections.  Here is a summary of my 2014 winter pages.  I'm submitting my digital pages for the Club Scrap Assembly Line Boot Camp (CS ALBC).  For more information on Boot Camp see the tab on the top of my blog.

Valentine with A Twist

I wanted more of a challenge so I’m entering a post on the Frilly and Funkie challenge blog.  I’ve been a long time follower and today will post my first entry.  The challenge is to create a project with white, pink and red, but without hearts.  To see the other entries go here.  In addition this will be an entry for Club Scrap’s Winter Boot Camp Week 1. Challenge element: Metallic Gelato Background on textured paper, charm and copper embossing

Aspen Journal

Welcome,

I loved the Club Scrap Aspen Collection so much I have another project for you.  I am Fitbooking with iClassyGirl and this is my journal made with the Aspen collection.  I was inspired by Kay's cut out stencil on her scrapbook page on Club Scrap Creates, so I made a journal using the stencil with cut outs.

I cut out part of the stencil image on the wood veneer paper and colored the remaining background with blue Distress Stains.  The quote and is clear embossed and inked.

On the inside of the black chipboard I used textured paper from Club Scrap Lock and Key and reversed the stencil.  The First page is the leaf paper with a stenciled image staggered to show through.  This time I colored the trunks with a white Distress Marker. The leaves were clear embossed on the Aspen tan paper colored with distress stains in yellow and orange.  To add a little more dimension they were raised on foam squares. 

Inside I made pages with tabs using my envelope score board punch and Aspen paper.  The pages were made by putting Aspen digital kit images behind light lines on text weight paper.  The journal is just under one half an 81/2 by 11 page, so I printed the pages at home, making them double sided.  Then I simply trimmed and punched holes.

Aspen Cabin in the Woods

Welcome to the Club Scrap Aspen Blog Hop!

As soon as I received my Club Scrap Aspen Collection I started to work on my cozy Aspen cabin.  The cabin has a classic A frame look with "logs" flanking the doorway made from the wood paper in the Aspen collection.



The pattern is the November Bird Abode: Home Tweet Home from Laura Denison, but I took it in a completely different direction from the original. I added wood accents through out.  The handmade paper made a beautiful textured roof.  The charm is from the Aspen Greetings to Go set.

Inside there is room for a tall mini album and a ledge to put in a pen. I made the mini album using another one of Laura Dension's patterns, the Envelope Bypass Mini Album using #10 envelopes.  The cover features a skeleton leaf sandwiched between acrylic sheets, a cut apart, an image stamped on canvas, and Aspen button tied with linen thread.  The binding uses paper clips and gathered Aspen ribbon.

Inside are tons of pockets and tags. It was great having all the Aspen cut aparts and stickers to decorate the internal pages. I used a selection of punches for accenting the edges of the pockets: EKSucess English Ivy, and Martha Stewart Flourish, Flourish lace, and Cherish.    I can't wait to get my pictures in this one.
